About Dr. Carol Zeltzer
Dr. Carol Zeltzer graduated from the University of Arizona College of Medicine in 2021, having also earned her Bachelor of Science as an undergraduate at The University of Arizona. Dr. Zeltzer completed her residency in family medicine at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medicine Center.
Dr. Zeltzer has an unusually broad background prior to her career in medicine, including coordinating care for children in foster care, teaching English to children in Osaka, Japan, and working with parents and teachers of developmentally disabled children to help them improve their quality of life.
With her longstanding dedication to her community and families around the world, she showcases her compassion for individuals of all ages. Dr. Zeltzer leverages her expertise of working with families by providing evidence-based, family medicine. She enjoys collaborating with families on their treatment plans, establishing a rapport with patients over the years, and being their trusted physician for all stages of life.
When not seeing her patients, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Sebastian, and three children. They enjoy activities such as hiking, beachgoing, roller skating around the park, and generally exploring the tarheel state. She also enjoys scrapbooking, baking, snowboarding, waterskiing, gymnastics, and interior design.

I made an appointment over a month ago and arrived 15 minutes prior to my appointment time (as instructed) and was told at checkin the doctor declined to see me as they require new patients to arrive 30 minutes prior to an appointment. I was simply turned away. My appointment was to establish care for cancer med induced hypertrygliceridemia. The office staff was nice and it was not their fault but I wouldn’t recommend this particular physician based on this interaction. She’s probably a lovely human but I felt discarded today. It took months to find someone taking new patients and I’m back to square one.

Was a very caring and welcoming office staff, I was seen promptly and the appointment went no longer than it should've. Dr. Zeltzer was caring and kind, she seemed genuinely interested in me as a person rather than just another patient file. I felt comfortable sharing my medical and personal history, and since this was my first GP appointment as an adult she walked me through all the steps of getting set up in a practice.

Appt made and was on time. Desk was behind checking ppl in. Doctor denied me bc she said I was late. Front desk vouched for me that I was on time. Was then told I’d need to wait an hour and a half more. It’d already been an hour wait.
I need a prescription and now will have to wait another week for a different doctor. Fielding a flare up before I can get care.

She was incredibly kind and attentive. I did not feel rushed at all. She listened to all my symptoms and questions, provided me with the referrals I needed and got the bloodwork I wanted as well as bloodwork she wanted to test. Very thorough

Was not even seen. I prefilled all the paperwork and left 30 min early for an office that I live 13 minutes from. I hit some traffic and didn’t know the office was on the 3rd floor. I still managed to be up there 5 minutes early with my paperwork prefilled but the Dr was not having any of it. Ridiculous manner for a Dr. I could have filled that paper out after the appointment. Nothing on there was that important to waste my morning both today that I had to take time off work for and to reschedule. This is a Doctor clearly only there for their paycheck. The front staff was great and so was the nurse. Very kind staff, just an absurd reason to turn away someone needing a new primary care physician. Makes it hard to put trust in a Doctor who makes getting care so difficult. To the doctor: you should be ashamed at your conduct.

Josh checked me in at the front desk. He answered all my questions, very friendly very helpful. They were ready for me before he even finished checking me in! Dr. Zeltzer was wonderful!
