I booked for a certain provider. When I go into examination room, I am greeted by a Physician Assistant and an intern. I am not used to booking an appointment than being blindsided with a total different provider. I was specifically looking for a woman of color and that's why I choose this place and thats not what I got.

My appointment was at 1:15, did not get called into the exam room until 2:25 where I had to wait another 25 minutes because the doctor I booked with was not there. After finally getting the ultrasound done, the doctor tells me I have an ovarian cyst, a blood clot, and the baby is only 7 weeks when I had been under the impression I was about 10. I asked why this could be and the doctor said she didn’t know maybe I’m irregular and didn’t know it. Nope. I track my period. The doctor sends me for blood work but she said only some today and we’ll have you come back next week to do the rest. I sit in the lab waiting for blood work, the phlebotomist who was supposed to do it had to go upstairs and said someone else would take care of me. Time passed and the original phlebotomist comes back shocked I’m still there, apologizing profusely and takes my blood. I arrived at 1:00, 15 minutes early per the offices request, and did not leave until 3:40. Leaving more concerned about my baby.
I had an extremely disappointing experience at Garden City OB/GYN’s Brooklyn location. I scheduled a sensitive procedure with Caroline Boucher, NP, expecting care and professionalism. Instead, I encountered cold, dismissive staff, careless mistakes, and poor communication. Signage was confusing, reception was unwelcoming, and my lab materials were mishandled. Despite scheduling a procedure, I was told I’d only get an ultrasound and would need to return — something not disclosed in advance. After a long wait, another provider (not Caroline) said I needed external bloodwork and to come back another day, at additional cost. The ultrasound was physically uncomfortable, and I was left uncovered without a gown. I was then told I no longer qualified for the original procedure by a margin of one day, with no compassion shown. This experience made an already difficult time even harder. I would not recommend this location for sensitive or respectful care.
