About Dr. Caroline Shim

Dr. Caroline Mimi Shim, an east coast native-growing up in New Jersey, earned her undergraduate degree in Neurobiology at the University of Pennsylvania and her MD at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She completed her internship and pediatric residency at NYP/Weill Cornell Hospital in New York City, where she served as assistant chief resident her last year. She is a board certified pediatrician and has been practicing in the Palisades since 2001. She loves being a pediatrician and feels so fortunate to have the opportunity to provide the highest quality care for the families and friends of the Palisades and surrounding communities. Dr. Shim believes that the role of a pediatrician is to take care of the child as a whole, and to be an advocate for the child and his/her family, as well. She believes in helping to promote healthy habits nutritionally, physically, socially, and emotionally, which builds happy children, with healthy minds and bodies
