Caroline is a certified family nurse practitioner at Schweiger Dermatology Group.
She provides comprehensive medical, surgical and cosmetic care to her patients. She has worked as a registered nurse in interventional radiology, ICU and dermatology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City and practiced at Connecticut Dermatology Group (CDG) with Dr. Kolenik as her mentor.
She received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Michigan, graduating with honors, then earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Columbia University’s family nurse practitioner program.
Caroline’s interest in dermatology started early in her nursing career. While at Columbia University, she focused her research on understanding the latest skin care breakthroughs and exploring the role of PAs and NPs in the field of dermatology. While finishing her doctorate, she rotated between all four CDG offices, learning from and training with several providers.
Her nursing background adds to her compassionate demeanor and holistic approach to treating patients. Her objective is to make all patients look and feel their best. She enjoys treating a wide variety of conditions, utilizing all the resources and technology available.
Caroline lives in Cos Cob, Conn., with her husband Dr. Sean Sutton of Greenwich Dentistry. She enjoys spending her free time traveling and playing tennis.

Dr Sutton is so good with younger patients. She listens to them as well as the parent to get the full picture but makes the child feel comfortable explaining symptoms for themselves. She thoroughly explains diagnosis and treatment and is reassuring and confident. My daughter is happy to go back and see her each time we need to.

I was in and out within five minutes, but I was not listened to or provided a solution to the skin issue I was experiencing. The treatment I was prescribed, a steroid cream, did not provide any relief. My appointment was over before I could even tell the doctor I had already been prescribed a steroid cream and it was not effective.

I do not live here on the East Coast. I am here on vacation and needed to find a dermatologist right away for a rash on my face. I was able to get in right away to see Caroline Sutton, NP.
