About Carolyn Turpin
Carolyn Turpin, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 30 years of experience. She earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Adult Nursing from George Mason University, followed by a Post-Master's Certificate in Family Nursing from the same institution. Carolyn also completed an internship at Johns Hopkins Hospital. She treats patients at Virginia Family Medicine's location in Fairfax, Virginia.
Carolyn is certified by the American Nurse Credentialing Certification. She is also certified to perform Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examinations and is listed on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) National Registry as a licensed medical examiner.
With extensive experience in primary care family practice, internal medicine, emergency medicine, and cardiac step-down units caring for open-heart surgery patients, Carolyn brings a broad skill set to her practice.
