Getting to know Dr. Carrie Edick
While telehealth is making access to healthcare readily available to those in need, I am only accepting patients who can be safely treated remotely. Suitable mental and behavioral conditions for telehealth include depression, anxiety disorders, ADHD, and certain mood disorders. Conditions that are unsuitable include chronic suicidal ideations or suicide attempts, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, and substance abuse. Currently, I am only accepting patients with the suitable conditions mentioned above and verifiable commercial health insurance coverage. I hold a Doctor of Nursing Practice and a Master's in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from the State University of New York, Upstate Medical University, as well as an Associate's degree from the State University of New York, Canton. If you meet these requirements, I eagerly await the chance to help.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I pride myself in working with my clients to develop a treatment plan that will help them improve their quality of life. I believe that a combination of therapy and medication management is the most effective way of achieving this. Myself and my clients work as a team to develop effective copying skills and to achieve their goals.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Struggling with mental health issues can impact an individual's entire life, personally, professionally and socially. I recognize these struggles and have dedicated my life to helping those in need. I only play a small part in your overall well-being but one step at a time we will work together towards developing the life you deserve.
