“Carrie is extremely knowledgeable, down to earth and likeable! She spent a long time with me working on a meal plan that fit my specific schedule and likes/dislikes. Not only that, she works on behavioral issues like emotional eating and has helped me to stop a lot of the eating habits that have led to my current weight. I have lost nearly 10 pounds in 1 month and anticipate that I will lose a lot more!!!!”

“Carrie does a good job of combining personal needs with the science of nutrition. She considers things like lifestyle, schedules and emotions, which are essential to success. Carried helped me see that while my habits were long-running and established, they were able to be changed. I have already lost over 10 pounds since meeting with Carrie for the first time, but more importantly I have changed the way I think about food and I have changed my lifestyle for the long-run, not just temporarily. ”

About Carrie Kipnis

Carrie started her Nutrition education at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City, and went on to complete her didactic program in dietetics at Hunter College and a rigorous clinical internship through Aramark, training in multiple New York–area hospitals. She became a Registered Dietitian and began her career as a clinical dietitian at Hoboken University Medical Center. In 2010, Carrie joined Riverfront Nutrition Associates and has also worked as a clinical dietitian at Baltimore Washington Medical Center before returning to New Jersey to continue her outpatient counseling work with Riverfront. Carrie holds a Certification in Weight Management from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and has extensive experience treating a variety of nutrition-related medical conditions. Carrie has developed particular expertise in gastrointestinal nutrition and digestive health. She has extensive experience working with patients managing irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), celiac disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), food intolerances, and other chronic digestive conditions. She works closely with individuals to identify symptom triggers, improve gastrointestinal health, optimize nutritional intake, and create individualized eating plans that support symptom relief and improve quality of life. Carrie is especially experienced in implementing the low FODMAP diet and is a recommended dietitian on Kate Scarlata’s website for her expertise in helping patients successfully navigate this evidence-based approach for IBS management. Carrie’s approach is highly individualized and practical. She believes in meeting patients where they are, recognizing that sustainable change happens when nutrition recommendations align with a person’s lifestyle, preferences, and emotional relationship with food.

Carrie is very informative and takes the time to listen and help you but she wasn't the best fit for me. I felt that I needed someone I can relate to better.
