Getting to know Carter Doyle

I help clients find relief through therapy and holistic treatment plans that can include medication management. Together, we gently dig beneath the surface of pain and distress and begin to work toward deep wholeness and healing. We collaborate to uncover the roots of pain and distress, providing care and healing to the parts that need it most. I practice by the mantra, "Be curious, not judgmental." I hold a Master's degree in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from Wilkes University, which informs my compassionate and comprehensive approach to mental health care.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Nurse Practitioners share a role similar to physicians. As Nurse Practitioners, we help by diagnosing medical and mental health conditions, providing psychotherapy, and prescribing medication. We work together to bring healing and wholeness to the parts of your life that need care. Leaf Psychiatry providers have first-hand experience caring for veterans and first responders. Some of our providers have even personally served in public safety roles. We also have providers who are members of the LGBTQ community, and who bring extensive experience caring for sexual and gender minorities.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

As Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, we believe in caring for the whole person. We do this through an Internal Family Systems therapy lens, assessing, diagnosing, and caring for mental health concerns. Sometimes this means ruling out physical causes, prescribing medication, and other times it means working together in psychotherapy to find the roots of pain.
