Dr. Cassandra Os, NP, DNP

Nurse Practitioner (Psychiatry)
MA
Life gets busy, and sometimes you're so focused on taking care of everyone else that you don't realize how much you're carrying yourself. At Wildflower Mind & Medicine, my goal is to provide a calm, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and never judged. As the founder and owner of Wildflower Mind & Medicine, I'm a dual board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP-BC). My background caring for patients with both medical and mental health conditions allows me to take a whole-person approach to treatment, recognizing how physical and emotional health are deeply connected. I specialize in women's mental health, maternal mental health, health anxiety, and supporting caregivers who spend so much of their time caring for others that they often forget to care for themselves. I also enjoy helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, and life transitions. I believe the best care comes from real conversations, not rushed appointments. Together, we'll create a personalized treatment plan that may include medication management, supportive psychotherapy, and practical strategies you can use in everyday life. Reaching out for help can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to do it alone. Whether you're ready to start treatment or simply looking for someone who will truly listen, I'd be honored to be part of your journey toward feeling like yourself again.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Welcome! I strive to create a space where you feel comfortable, heard, and never judged. I know reaching out for mental health care can feel overwhelming, and my goal is to make the process as approachable as possible. My style is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I take the time to understand not only your symptoms, but also your life, experiences, and goals. Together, we'll develop a personalized treatment plan that fits your needs rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. I have a special interest in treating anxiety disorders, health anxiety, women's mental health, caregiver stress, and geriatric psychiatry, while caring for adults with a wide range of mental health concerns.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first appointment is focused on getting to know you. We'll review what brought you to treatment, your medical and mental health history, previous treatments, current symptoms, and your goals for care. My priority is understanding the full picture before making recommendations. If medication is appropriate, we'll discuss the risks, benefits, and alternatives together so you can make an informed decision. If medication isn't the right fit, we'll talk through other evidence-based options, including psychotherapy and lifestyle strategies. Follow-up appointments focus on monitoring your progress, making thoughtful adjustments when needed, addressing any side effects or concerns, and ensuring your treatment continues to align with your goals. I also incorporate supportive psychotherapy and practical coping strategies into medication management visits whenever appropriate.
