About Catherine Phelps
Catherine, a native Houstonian, earned her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. After working as a postpartum nurse in the Houston medical center, she moved to Dallas, where she joined Baylor University Medical Center as a postpartum nurse for five years. During this time, she became certified in Maternal Newborn Nursing and completed her education as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner at Texas Woman’s University.
Catherine discovered her passion for women’s health during a medical mission internship in Haiti while in college. There, she participated in a maternal health program, enhancing access to prenatal care, empowering women through education, and ensuring safe and sanitary deliveries. She also participated in a bonding initiative project in nursing school, supporting incarcerated women through pregnancy and labor to facilitate bonding with their newborns. Catherine is excited to continue her work serving women as a Nurse Practitioner at Legacy.
Outside of work, Catherine enjoys being on the go with her husband, Nick, their son, Collins, and their two dogs. They enjoy anything outdoors, trips to the lake, Aggie football games, and traveling as much as they can.

Great visit. Very informative and friendly service. Only 2 small things. They asked me the same information 4 times. I completed a recheck in form answering questions then was given the same form when I arrived to write then was asked the questions by my nurse. Then the doctor asked the same questions again. It was a bit repetitive. Also, they did not offer self park. Only paid valet. I don't care for valets driving my car so I had to find parking and walk two blocks to get to my appointment. It's a pretty day so not the end of the world but self park should be an option.

Catherine Phelps is by far one of the kindest, most patient and understanding humans, and I am so incredibly grateful for her and her team. I have a very rough time going to any doctor’s office, let alone the gynecologist, and after that visit, I will willingly go back to see her. I would even be excited to go! She made me feel heard and comforted. I cannot thank her enough for helping me.

First time visiting the office and my experience was great. Though I drove an hour to get there, it was worth the drive. Office was clean and the lady who attended to me at the front desk was very pleasant. NP Catherine had great bedside manner, she listened to all my needs and provided great support and therapeutic communication.
