Getting to know Cathi Stephens
Do you need help with mental health issues? Are you looking to change your life and become the best version of yourself? I work with my patients to identify the underlying issues impacting their quality of life and develop a personalized, evidence-based plan to help them. We offer both virtual and in-office appointments.

PLEASE NOTE: WE ARE A SELF-PAY OFFICE. The initial evaluation is $295, and follow-up appointments are $160. We do not accept insurance but will provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Also, if you would like controlled substances prescribed, the first visit must be in person (virtual visits are available for follow-ups).
About our office
As a boutique psychiatry practice, we offer many extras, but we do not accept insurance-you are our focus, not the insurance company.
We want you to be comfortable-we offer coffee, tea, water, and snacks at every appointment. Our private waiting rooms and discreet, upscale office create a welcoming environment. We provide same-day refills without a long list of rules or stipulations. We're here late and on Saturdays to assist you!
You don't take insurance? Why not?
We want to spend time with our patients, truly get to know you and your concerns without the constraints of insurance companies dictating your treatment. We offer 1.5-hour new patient appointments and 30-minute follow-ups. Most practices that accept insurance can't afford to spend that much time with patients due to low reimbursement rates, often offering only 10- or 15-minute follow-ups-we don't think that's enough time to properly treat patients!
I hold a Master's in Adult Health Nursing and a Bachelor's degree from the University of South Florida, as well as specialized training in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Regis College.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I provide compassionate, non-judgmental quality care. I treat a wide range of psychiatric issues, including (but not limited to) depression, anxiety, social anxiety, bipolar, alcohol use, PTSD, OCD, opioid use, ADHD, stress, postpartum depression, psychosis, and mood disorders.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
As a seasoned nurse practitioner, I use a gentle, supportive style informed by the latest scientific evidence to guide you toward better mental health. I’m here to help you find the right path forward. Our office is open 8 am – 8 pm and Saturdays so you’ll have the support you need!

She was one of these physicians who is afraid to write controlled substances even when needed. I found another doctor who is fantastic, and not afraid to write controls if they are warranted. Feel like I wasted my money into be honest I may dispute the charge.
