About Dr. Cecelia Madrid
Dr. Cecelia T. Madrid has worked in private practice for more than thirty years in the Burbank medical community. Prior to her current private practice, she worked for the largest physician-owned healthcare network in Southern California.
She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Minnesota. Upon completing her internship in Internal Medicine at Sepulveda Veterans Affairs Medical Center and her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles, Dr. Madrid developed a special interest and compassion for women, seniors, and veterans. She came to believe that these patient groups were often neglected because they required more resources to deliver effective and meaningful medical care. Her patients love her empathy and appreciate the time she spends with them. She believes healing is a holistic art.
Dr. Madrid has also developed an interest in women's health concerns, with a unique ability to establish rapport with female patients. Her sensitive and compassionate care-a skill she honed and cultivated during her V.A. days-has helped many previously underserved patients, who have expressed their comfort and gratitude for her empathetic style.

She is so sweet! I feel like she really cares and has a really great personality! She is super knowledgable and kind. Would 100% recomend. Parking is tough in that area and they don't validate parking. It took awhile to be seen so I wouldn't try to squeeze in and apt before if you have something else schedulded. But shes a great doctor!

Dr. Madrid is an absolute godsend. So attentive, cares about her patients, and has such an expert and multi-faceted approach to medicine. I've been dealing with ongoing challenges trying to understand my multi diagnoses from recent hospital stints, and one visit with Dr. Madrid explained so much more than I was able to learn on my own.
It's evident that Dr. Madrid performs her work with so much heart and decades of experience. Anyone under her care is highly privileged

I got there 15 minutes early because I knew there’s always forms to fill with new doctors. Somehow this made no difference whatsoever as there were already three others in the waiting room before me so I waited for an hour and 45. I thought well maybe they’re just a little bit behind but I spoke to one of the regular patients in the waiting room who informed me that it’s actually pretty normal for the appointments to take that long to be seen. I gave up and left after the second hour mark of waiting. Also the walls were pretty thin so I could tell that the doctor was pretty thorough about the questions they ask and listens very well. The waiting room was comfy but the receptionist’s attitude wasn’t the best, not terrible but not great.

I was 20min early and had to fill out paperwork even though I did online. 20min after my appointment, I asked the receptionist how much longer and she said she doesn’t know. Another 10min later the receptionist asked me if I wanted to reschedule because there were still 4 people ahead of me(only 2 people in the waiting room). There was no communication that they were behind, I had to ask to find out. I left after being there for 50min, was never seen by the doctor and had to pay for parking.

Such a long wait time! The reception area had at least 4 patients actively coughing into the shared magazines, after which time they ALL put them back to be used by subsequent patients. I waited 2 hours to be seen and had a further wait once placed in the office. The doctor was nice but not enough to justify the wait time.

I came into the appointment prepared to have a hard time getting the care I needed and it turned out to be the exact opposite! Dr. Madrid's nurses were all super professional, and Dr. Madrid herself was so warm and attentive. By the end of one session I was sure she's the right PCP for me.

I'm not sure what's going on with the staff, but EVERYTHING that needed to be done or should've been automated wasn't. First my prescription wasn't called in to the pharmacy, then it turned out it was the wrong dosage. Then none of my referrals were put in and the office said 'the doctor never wrote it in the notes' which is a blatant lie because I saw her write it down. It's been two weeks since my appointment and I've had to call more than 5 times now essentially do their job for them.

This was literally the worse experience I have ever had. I waited 45 mins to just give me the patient paper work. I waited an 1.5 hr to be taken back. There was a full sized refrigerator in the exam room. Another doctor walked in who was not my doctor while a nurse was taking my vitals. My doctor did not have tools to complete my visit.
The front desk was fully aware of the reason for my visit and could've saved me and the doctor some time. Another staff member walked in the middle of my visit to put up supplies! The doctor called another doctor and scheduled an appointment for me with another doctor! The worst appointment ever!

I found Dr Madrid's manners to be quite off-putting, she rambled on about her personal life for a really long time and regularly went off on long tangents. Some of the things she said I thought to be quite inappropriate to say to a patient. Her chatting made the appointment much longer than it needed to be. I wouldn't recommend her if you're looking for someone who is personable.

She never called, and I had to follow up twice. Once she did call, she thought I was another patient, divulged their medical information to me, and went back and forth with the receptionist until the call ultimately dropped. Extremely problematic and unprofessional.

The wait is insane everytime. I’ve never waited less than an hour. On time, early, it doesn’t matter lol you will not be seen when you think you’ll be seen. Plan for at least two hours just to be safe.

I have been looking for a primary doctor for the past two years and finally found one in Dr. Madrid. She and her staff were kind, attentive and thorough. She spent a good amount of time getting to know me and providing tests and solutions for even more than what I came in for. I spent more than 30 mins in waiting room, but that is because she actually spends time with her patients. That is worth the wait for me! She is able to do lab work in her office and further tests can be run by offer patterning offices down the hall. The convenience of that is a huge plus for me. Glad to have found my new primary doc in Dr. Madrid.

I moved to the LA area almost ten years ago and have been so frustrated in the process of trying to find a doctor. I can officially say, I found her. She was so smart, kind, personable, and explained everything as we went. She took her time with getting to know me, my history, and what I’m needing from a doctor. She was thorough and I felt like I got everything that I was hoping for from our appointment. The other women at the office were also super helpful, kind, and personable.

She is a lovely doctor and a lovely person and she really is vested in your care.I highly recommend her. Even if you have to wait an extra 10 minutes or so she is definitely worth the wait. If she’s running behind it’s probably because she is so caring and attentive to each person. I am so happy I finally found a primary care doctor I can go to I’ve been searching forever.
