Getting to know Dr. Cecilia Belardinelli
Hello there, I am looking forward to working with you. I have been an empathetic provider who prides myself on working well with children and their parents since 2000. My goal is to help each child reach their full potential and enjoy life as they grow and mature. I understand that children and adolescents can face multiple behavioral challenges related to life's stressors. They can struggle with a wide range of issues that impact their lives. I provide a thorough evaluation, treatment recommendations, and collaborate with parents to monitor progress and adjust treatments to meet the child’s needs.
I see clients ages 5 to 17 and provide medication management for ADHD, anxiety, maladaptive coping skills, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, relationship issues, school issues, self-esteem issues, sleep issues, stress, PTSD, and mood disorders. I incorporate psychoeducation, supportive therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy in my client interactions.
I earned my medical degree from Universidad de Buenos Aires Facultad de Medicina. I completed my residency in General Psychiatry and a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.

What is your typical process for working with clients?
The pediatric population deals with multiple emotional and behavioral problems reactive to family, school, and interpersonal stressors; they can struggle with aspects related to their stage of development, academic difficulties, and diverse symptoms of different specific mental health conditions. I can help with a comprehensive evaluation, treatment recommendations, and a collaborative approach with parents to follow up on response and adjustment of therapeutic interventions according to the child's needs.

Dr. Belardinelli was excellent and took the time to help with prevalent issues and seemed to care about me instead of rushing to complete the appointment. Plus, I am thankful that the appointment was available incredibly quickly. I would recommend anyone to Dr. Belarinelli if they need to see a pediatric psychiatrist.

I booked this particular provider because her profile indicated that she worked with kids. The initial session went ok. When her office called me to book the next session, they informed me that the Dr. only works from 7:30am to 11am. They expected my 12 yo to miss school so she can accommodate the Dr’s schedule. They indicated that they can provide a note to excuse my daughter from missing class. I find this request unacceptable and ridiculous. I’m a working parent so it’s impossible for me to alter my work schedule, have my daughter miss school in order to attend the sessions with this Dr. I wished I would have been informed her schedule was so limited before I had booked the first session. It was a waste of my time. Her office contacted me innumerable times to verify my insurance, to ensure I completed all the forms before the 1st session, to ensure they get my credit card which they charged even before the first session but they couldn’t informed me about the Dr. limited schedule!
