Cedar Court Imaging (CCI) is the first imaging facility in Southern Illinois to offer True High Field Open MRI service with the Hitachi Altaire MRI unit. High field strength and high performance gradient coils offer superior quality MRI scans similar to most “closed” systems. Scan times are also similar to “High Field Closed” units. The Hitachi Altaire has a true open design which allows patients more freedom and the ability to see out of the magnet during most scans. The open design also accommodates larger patients who cannot be scanned on closed systems. As an additional benefit, the scan room itself is very spacious with a large panoramic window which further enhances the “open” experience.
