What is your typical process for working with clients?
The psychiatric intake appointment begins with gathering your history, including past mental health, medication, medical, and family history, to gain insight into your current condition. You’ll then discuss your current challenges, which is crucial for understanding your symptoms and their impact on your life. Being open and honest during this conversation is key to developing an effective care plan.
After reviewing your history and current issues, we’ll work together to create a personalized treatment plan. This may include therapeutic approaches (like cognitive-behavioral therapy), medication management if needed, lifestyle modifications (such as diet, exercise, or stress management), and follow-up appointments to monitor progress and adjust the plan as necessary.

I didn’t have to wait because my video appointment was cancelled because I did not fill out paperwork. I told Ms Freeman that I work 6am - 2pm and then nap when I get home. I thought that I had completed the steps prior to the appointment. I did find an attachment after looking after my call to her.
I tried to communicate that I needed help with the paperwork but I don’t think she got it. I have been trying to to get an appointment in town to no avail for weeks. And now this. I cried. I’m so disappointed.
Finally, she mentioned how was I going to pay for the visit because if we got going and there was a hickup as she put it who would pay for it. I didn’t answer because it caught me off guard. Finally, after checking, I saw that on the app it shows that I get Medicaid. Which I do not. So maybe Ma Freeman thought I wouldn’t be able to pay because of the erroneous information. I am able to pay out of pocket if need be. Also, if someone could remove her information from my app, I would appreciate it.
