About Dr. Charlene Andrews
Dr. Charlene Andrews specializes in primary care and internal medicine, serving patients in Jamaica, NY, and the surrounding areas. Board-certified in internal medicine, she holds current BLS and ACLS certifications. She has also received specialized training in HIPAA, infection control, and women's health.
A native of Trinidad, Dr. Andrews earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine in Florida. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers of New York, affiliated with New York Medical College, before establishing her practice, CareWell Medical Associates, in Jamaica, Queens. The practice now has an additional location in Queens Village.
Dr. Andrews has compassionately served a diverse population of patients in wound care and primary care. Active in community programs, she has shared her expertise at various homeless shelters, student-run free clinics, and substance-abuse recovery programs for women.
