Zitel Healthcare Services Inc. is a behavioral healthcare company in the State of Maryland experienced in treating patients with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, ADHD, PTSD, and other psychological conditions. We pride ourselves on providing evidence-based care with a client-centered approach through comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and individualized treatment plans.
With your consent, we offer psychiatric evaluation, screening for ADHD, Depression, anxiety, therapy, and medication management for children from 7 years old, adolescents, and adults. We offer screening for genesight testing and referrals to psychological testing. We provide treatment with long acting injectables such as Invega, haloperidol, Ablify sustena, fluphenazine to treat patient with schizophrenia.

At Zitel Healthcare Services, compassion, competency, and care are our core values. Our team includes professionals with advanced education and training, including a Master's in Nursing from Walden University and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Brandman University, ensuring the highest standard of care for our patients.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Each patient treatment style is unique to the presenting symptoms and condition. I use patient-centered approach and motivational interviewing in treatment. I use cognitive behavioral therapy approach in anger management treatment.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
The first process is obtaining comprehensive psychiatric, social, medical, family history and history of present illness of the patient.
I practice talk therapy with medication management and utilizes screening tools to rule out symptoms and psychiatric conditions.

Once again, I’ve had NO problems with Dr. Okorom (personal ones I mean). He’s always listened, and gave tips if he thinks I need tnem. And he is always straight forward. He never just tells ya what he thinks ya “want to hear.” He tells you what NEEDS to be told for you to move forward and succeed. Best doctor I’ve ever had for my situation that I’ve had other doctors for the same thing. ????

I do a review after almost every appointment just to show how he continues to be a good doctor. I’ve never had an issue with him. And he also helps me with some anxiety help tips, and helps me out the best he can. And for that I’m grateful, because to be honest, I have been to other doctors that are not helpful or just get you in & out as quick as possible. Then I feel like I never got my problems answered. I would 100% recommend him!

As always, my Dr has had positive feedback from me. He’s great listener along with giving good tips with things that stress you out or annoy ya. He’s never been rude or came off in a aggressive way. He’s always been polite asks about medicine that he gives you if he gives them to you, he will ask how they are working for you and if they aren’t working that great he will tries to find a middle ground for ya or if they have bad side effects. It’s always best to tell him because he tells ya he needs to know so he can fix the medicine and make sure you are getting better. He worries about his clients and you don’t always find doctors of different kinds like that. it could be a doctor at the emergency room or a doctor like your primary, or a therapist or a psychologist. Some other doctors try to get you out of there as soon as possible or write what they think is best for you whether you know it is not or hasn’t worked in the past and they don’t believe ya & try to get ya out asap. I was trying to be treated for my mental health and he suggested all of these medications I’ve also tried . I told him they didn’t work for me so he found one I could try and turns out my insurance company won’t b cover it. NOT THE DOCTORS FAULT BY ANY MEANS. However my depression and anxiety has worsened due to not being able to afford the 500$ medication.

Dr Okorom is very kind, never makes me feel judged, and not pushy. I have a clinical imbalance which needed medication immediately, although I was not/am not ready to start unpacking all of the stuff that comes with talk therapy. This was ok and he was still willing to help me. He listens to how my medications are working and is making adjustments as needed until we find a combination that works. I do feel like once my mood stabilizes and I feel like I have some emotional control, I will then be ready to move on to the next step in my recovery. When that time comes I without a doubt will be scheduling for his counseling. I highly recommend!

Every time you see him, he ask how you are doing and if you are not doing good he also asked what’s going on and what’s happening to make you feel the way you are feeling. And if you are having trouble locating certain places near you, he will help give you resources or places to go. Overall, he is the best psychiatrist that I’ve had.

Still to this day, have no complaints about him. He is very nice and is a great listener. But has no problem telling you the honest truth, even if you don’t wanna hear it, and that’s only because he’s doing what’s best for you. He is not doing it in a rude way. Every time I’ve talk to him he has been very pleasant and checks in on me that day to see how I’m doing and how things are going on around the house and all that.
