Dr. Young was very approachable as she has always been from my experience over the past couple of years. I appreciated her candid manner especially about how the pandemic and recent injustices may be affecting professionals like herself without taking away from what I had to share. My takeaway is that we have in common being human with similar needs. After the video visit, I planned to schedule an in-person visit for my annual checkup but am willing to do another video visit with her should circumstances not permit the former.

Dr. Charmaine Young joined the Charles B. Wang Community Health Center in 2016.
She earned her Bachelor's degree at Brooklyn College and her medical degree at the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2013. She trained in Family Medicine at the New York University Lutheran Medical Center, concentrating on the care of the whole patient and family.
She is a native New Yorker from Brooklyn and is delighted to serve her fellow New Yorkers from all walks of life. She is fluent in English and Cantonese, and can also speak conversational Spanish.

Dr. Young was super kind and down to earth! She was very thorough and asked questions regarding all different aspects of my health, making sure I was up to date with my shots, dental, OBGYN, etc. For the referral I needed, she let me know they only refer doctors who have been responsive and well-reviewed. The office is very friendly and helpful as well, worked quickly and clearly explained billing/their portal/etc.

I had a really positive experience today at Dr. Young's office. I went in for a yearly physical. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient, as were the lab techs and nurses. Dr. Young is warm, funny, thorough, and honest. My appointment, which included a physical, a blood draw, and a flu vaccination, only took around an hour, and I left having addressed everything I needed to. I am so glad to have found such a competent, kind, and affordable PCP!
