Getting to know Cheri Eads

I believe you are valuable and have hope to overcome whatever reasons brought you here. I work with anger, anxiety, depression, anxiety-driven anger, major life adjustment issues, relational conflict, trauma, major depression, chronic pain, grief, perfectionism, anxiety affecting sleep, career changes, new parents (motherhood/fatherhood), parenting issues, and communication conflict/resolution. Together, we will work to bring you relief and reduce the challenges that keep you from living the life you desire. My therapy modalities include CBT, Solutions-Focused, and Rogerian Person-Centered approaches. While creating a safe space of courage and hope, we will set achievable goals to help you work through hurts or trauma that prevent you from moving forward. If you wish, Christian counseling using Christ-centered spiritual and biblical principles is also available. My passion is helping you move ahead in life without relational conflicts, traumas, memories, and negative feelings holding you back. I look forward to meeting you so we can begin giving you the relief you need now! There is hope beyond the suffering, relational conflict, trauma memories, sleepless nights, depression, recurring negative thoughts, and consuming worry you may be experiencing. It will be my honor to walk with you through your journey of hope and restoration. I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling from Pepperdine University and a Bachelor’s degree from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I currently am full and have a waitlist. I can provide referrals for other practitioners if requested. August 2023 I offer Integrative Psychotherapy- utilizing multiple different psychological approaches tailored to specific symptoms. I am able to utilize the best treatment(s) that I offer shown to work most effectively with the presenting challenges in your life. Regarding the first visit, we will discuss: the reasons you are seeking assistance, identify your goals and the challenges creating difficulty reaching them, along with beginning to establish a plan on how you will obtain success in those areas.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In therapy, we will work together as a team. Feeling relief and growth towards your goals each week is important! f helpful, short questionnaires and brief homework are used. Appropriate clinical techniques will be taught and practiced to assist you in implementing healthy coping skills during the therapeutic process.

PLEASE NOTE: Please do not book an appointment if your insurance plan is provided through Medicare/caid. I am not paneled with Medicare/caid so am not in-network. My billing service Alma will process your insurance and verify coverage prior to your first session. I require at least 24-48 hour advance booking for sessions as insurance will take time to verify. I will contact you via text once an appointment is booked with the next steps. Please kindly respond to any texts. Please upload your insurance card, picture ID, address, whether you are the primary insured (if not, please contact me with primary insured’s information as well) DOB, and telephone number. We will need to begin verification of insurance immediately after booking in order to have everything completed before your first appointment to avoid delays. If you are paying Out-of-Pocket—no insurance (OOP), my rates are listed. ****Enrollment in Auto-pay, for session fees based on your insurance co-pay or deductible (or OOP), is required in my practice before the first session.**** Cancellation Policy: I do require a 24-hour cancellation notice.via email or telephone. A $100 cancellation fee applies to all appointments not cancelled within this time frame or for a no show.
