About Cherie Gordon

Cherie Gordon has been providing healthcare to women for more than 21 years. She is passionate about empowering women and their families through education and enjoys assisting them in making health care decisions based on research, individual family risk factors, and life philosophy. After first working as a labor and delivery nurse at St. Joseph’s Women’s Hospital, she earned certification as a Women’s Health Practitioner. Cherie also served in the United States Army Reserves.
Cherie has experience as a registered nurse, working Labor and Delivery, Women’s Urgent Care and High-Risk Obstetrical units. She is certified in Inpatient Obstetrics and External Fetal Monitoring by the National Certification Corporation and is a member of the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) and National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health.
Cherie attended Galen College of Nursing where she completed the program to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). She went on to attend St. Petersburg College where she received an Associate’s of Science and a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. In 2015, Cherie achieved a Master’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati and completed the Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Program
Cherie has two daughters and a loving husband of 17 years. She spends most of her free time with her family and crazy German shorthaired pointer doggies.

Everyone was super helpful and friendly! Very quick appointment was seen immediately and they did an exam and blood work in under 30 minutes while still being thorough. The MA was phenomenal took a manual BP instead of automatic and did my blood work so quickly and easily. Will be coming back!

Not only did they see me right away; so many providers make me wait for at least 20 minutes after appt time, but Cherie instantly made me feel comfortable by leading with a joke and answering any questions I had before asking any. Plus small hands are a plus!

I’m glad to have found Cherie, she was professional yet friendly. No matter how many times I do this, this is one doctors appointment that always triggers my nerves and anxiety. Cherise’s energy helped ease that a bit so I’m most likely to be going back. She’s informative but very fast, I was surprised how quickly she did my routine annual. Office is kept very clean. The only “complaint” if any is that the office is a little confusing to find. Google maps took me to the building behind so that’s a Google problem. And then at the right building you have to follow a little path to get to the right office but the staff was friendly and one of the receptionists walked me over. So no complaints overall as there is a helping hand everywhere you turn.

My friend recommended this place about 4 yrs ago and I would never go anywhere else. Amazing service and awesome staff, I usually go to Cherie Gordon and she is awesome so is Adriana!!
