Chike is very friendly and helpful.
Love this guy! Very highly recommend.
Dr. Chike was warm, conversational, & friendly in our first meeting, while also being extremely attentive to details to better understand my situation. While extremely professional, he also had a cordial, amicable demeanor that helped alleviate any nervousness I had.
Very down to Earth and relatable. Genuinely felt like he cared and had my best intrest in mind. Went the extra mile to help
Chike is a total rockstar. Best psychiatrist I've ever seen.
Dr Nwankwo is an exceptional doctor who is both a very knowledgeable and very caring individual.
Very caring Doctor! By far the best!
Fantastic Down to earth Dr. That clearly has his patientsbest interests in mind
Dr. Chike was genuine, sincere, and extremely polite and welcoming. He seemed to listen much more than any psychiatrist I had been used to and he also does therapy, which didn't come as a surprise after the initial consultation. Dr. Chike is a smart, humble person who is very good and sincere at what he does.
Dr. Nwankwo is very caring and knowledgeable. I was going to give up on finding a psychiatrist until I booked my appointment. His office is very calming and there is a very well trained therapy dog. Dr. Nwankwo took the time to go through my whole problem and went into the slightest details. He also sent me some related medical articles to help with me control my symptoms. Highly Recommended!
He's the best!
Dr Nwankwo is very kind and I felt he was easy to speak with. In my opinion he was genuine in wanting to help me. I went into the appointment feeling overwhelmed and almost hopeless. Dr. Nwankwo helped me feel that things can be manageable. I look forward to seeing the fruit of our times together.
Wonderfull caring doctor!
Finally found a Psychiatrist in Boston where I left my appointment feeling better than when I went into it. Excellent and considerate doctor, is extremely nice and cares about helping you get back on track, set goals, and achieve your potential. I'm finally hopeful about my treatment here in Boston now.
Outstanding - informed, insightful, efficient.
Chike is great!
I was not seen that day nor have I been responded to as withs reasoned to why. Despite attempts to contact him I've been left without treatment or any knowledge of when I can get further
The good: Dr. Chike has a warm, caring manner. He is easy to talk to. I usually don't open up easily and I feel comfortable with him. He has also provided much needed advise for my professional life.. The bad: I felt that sometimes he wasn't "all there". Sometimes he seemed a bit preoccupied. The ugly: His voice mail box has usually been full. If I did not make an appointment before I left, there was no other way to contact him except ZOCDOC . I am fortunate that I have not had a crisis that warranted hospitalization since I have been under his care. I feel that I would have been on my own without my psydoc. I have also tried to email him and did not hear from him. Overall, Dr, Chike, is a good psychiatrist. I hope that he sees this review and makes some changes so that he can get even better.
Wonderful, great at establishing trust and rapport-- very much competent and well-read in the field, and the chilled waters are free. Well worth the investment.
Reasons I would recommend Dr. Nwankwo: 1. He is professional, personable, and easy to talk to 2. He is transparent in his diagnosis and evaluation of your condition 3. He is accommodating and understanding; he will work with you on providing solutions that best meet your needs given your personal circumstances. He is also flexible and willing to work with you if you have a particular preference on treatment given it is appropriate and within reason. 4. He is a Great guy and very down to earth; he is genuine and a straight shooter - he tells it like he sees it and won't mislead you. 5. he, as already mentioned, is flexible and cares about his patients and how to best meet their needs (even post consultation). As an example, post consultation, he'll give you the option to have your prescription (if applicable) electronically sent to your preferred pharmacy or give to you as a hard copy 6. He is extremely helpful when it come to dealing with insurance providers; he will accommodate your insurance provider with necessary documentation and receipt; evenif the provider is out of netwrork. Overall - I would highly recommended Chike and was extremely satisfied with how my appointment went.
Very warm, smart and funny. I found his approach of conversational therapy to be very effective, and I felt like I was speaking with an old friend. Definitely recommended!
He makes you feel incredibly safe, when you feel at your most vulnerable state. He listens to what you are actually saying to him, and truly wants to help his patients get well. I had almost lost hope, but I found Dr, Chike, and he has given me a new found faith that there are still medical professionals who actually care about their patients.
Dr. Chike's office is readily accessible by T and he offers Saturday appointments, both of which are very helpful to working professionals. That said, in my experience he is not responsive to patient communications, and I had a lot of difficulty getting in touch with him regarding scheduling, prescriptions, and invoicing. I got the impression that my only option was to book an appointment via ZocDoc. This may well be par for the course for Boston psychiatrists; I would not know, as Dr. Chike is the first I've seen since moving here. If that is the case, however, that policy was not explained. I was never given a copy of Dr. Chike's policy(ies) regarding email and/or phone communications, or clear and consistent directions regarding how to contact him, and the lack of clarity coupled with delayed or nonexistent responses made for some frustration. More importantly, I felt very uncomfortable during my most-recent appointment with Dr. Chike. My discomfort stemmed in part from the fact that I intended it to be our final appointment, and ending any kind of relationship is usually awkward. I was also stressed about getting copies of my invoices and other necessary documentation before the end of the appointment, given that prior requests for these documents hadn't been answered in light of the communication issues described above. Most of my discomfort, however, stemmed from a few of Dr. Chike's comments about my demeanor and facial expressions when I asked for these documents and thanked him for providing them. In particular, as the appointment was ending, I was taken aback by the language he used to comment on my appearance (specifically, that my smile creeped him out). I imagine this wasn't his intent, but I felt insulted and as if I were being made fun of, which was very upsetting in the moment and a sour note on which to end the relationship.
Excellent caring professional.
Insightful and professional.
Wonderful doctor. Kind and understanding.
Super helpful doctor- really listens to my feedback and experiences with treatments and takes all of my concerns into consideration during visits
Great first visit. Moved to Boston Summer 2015, but dropped the ball on finding a new doctor and didn't make an appointment until January 2016. Dr. Chicke was very receptive to hearing what I wanted and what my goals were. Very excited to begin working with him.
Very helpful, professional!
Dr. Chike is well versed in the area of psychotherapy, while able to reach out to his colleagues for consults to deliver the most complete experience a patient could have.
Dr. Chike was kind, warm and very intelligent and understanding. He seems like he has a good blend of the medical acumen and the personal touch to be able to build a good relationship with. He does however insist on a once-a-month sessions, and given that his price-point is above average, this did not fit within my budget. He did not seem willing to adjust his pricing for my needs, but this should, in no way, reflect on his abilities as a psychiatrist, which one can hardly evaluate in one session. I would definitely recommend him if you are looking for both medicine and sit-down therapy.
Dr. Nwankow seems to be very knowledgeable about therapeutic practice, modern medicine, and imparts crucial knowledge based on the individuals needs and concerns. He encourages talk therapy and is therefore able to assess ones strengths and weaknesses to get to the root of the issue(s) at hand.
He is the best doc I've ever met. He is very friendly and out me on ease. I am in love with him! Will repeat. Highly recommended!!
Sweetest, most helpful Dr. He genuinely listens and cares about what is going on in your life.
I recommend Dr. Chike without reservation. Very easy to speak with, extremely accommodating in terms of scheduling appointments, promptly returns emails and phone calls. Additionally, he is an excellent listener who will not simply treat your condition. Rather, he will treat the condition accordingly, educate you about the condition and treatment process, and will follow up to ensure success.
Great Doctor, very personable, very easy to talk to, would recommend in a second!
Experiences like this make me wish that I had sought help earlier. Pleasant demeanor and very welcoming atmosphere. Dr. Nwanko listened to my concerns and comprehensively addressed them. I would highly recommend him to others.
Awesome guy! Very relaxed, made me feel very at ease right away.
The most friendly and humorous psychiatrist I have ever been to.
He was very understanding and down to earth, I am so lucky l found him. I was looking for over two months for a good doctor. I am feeling totally lucky because it's so hard to find a good doctor these days, hes very well educated and knows his stuff I find it hard to open up and he made it so easily for me,I highly recommend him
