*Please provide your home address and your insurance card (or type your insurance details in the form provided after booking) to help ensure your understand your costs* *Also, the practice does not accept Medicaid or Medicare insurance at this time* I love working with people who struggle to be heard and understood. My clients are eager to improve but don't yet have what is needed to make this goal a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed, and anxious. I hold a Master's in Nursing from Walden University, which equips me with the knowledge and skills to support my clients effectively on their journey toward healing and growth.

What should a new client know about working with you?

*Also, the practice does not accept Medicaid or Medicare insurance at this time* Hi! I’m a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) licensed in both California and Nevada. I received my Masters from the Walden University and have been in Mental health for 7 years. I help adolescents and adults who struggle to be heard or respected with compassion, understanding, using psychotherapy and medication management.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Oftentimes, I am always saddened when a patient’s physical wounds and pain are inappropriately questioned due to their mental illness status. Rather than becoming disappointed in the healthcare system, I’ve strengthened my resolve and have determined to make a difference in their lives as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.

Very professional and helpful provider- I wish we had met earlier in my mental health journey
Fantastic, simply refreshing to meet someone that considers her patient's point of view. I will definitely recommend.
She is the only person who diagnosed me correctly.

I haven’t felt any meaningful improvement. The sessions often felt repetitive, and I left feeling like my concerns weren’t fully understood. The advice seemed very generic and didn’t really address what I was going through. I started to question whether they truly grasped the depth of my situation. Overall, I didn’t find the therapy helpful, and I wouldn’t recommend it based on my experience.

Working with Chinenye has been a truly positive experience. From the very beginning, she made me feel heard, respected, and never judged. It can be hard opening up about mental health, but she created a space where I felt safe to do that. She really took her time — whether it’s listening to what’s going on in my life, checking in on how I’m feeling, or explaining treatment options in a way that makes sense. I never felt rushed or like just another patient. She genuinely care, and that comes through in every session. Thanks to her support, I’ve been able to make real progress. I feel more balanced, more hopeful, and more in control of my mental health. I’m grateful to have found a provider who not only knows what they’re doing but also leads with empathy and kindness. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for thoughtful, compassionate care.

“Compassionate, knowledgeable, and truly listens” I had an incredible experience with Chinenye Chukwu. From the moment our session began, I felt heard, respected, and genuinely cared for. They took the time to understand my concerns, thoroughly reviewed my history, and worked collaboratively with me to create a treatment plan that made sense for my life and goals. I never felt rushed or judged—just supported and empowered. They were also very knowledgeable about medications and explained the options clearly, including potential benefits and side effects. I appreciate that they looked at my mental health holistically and even coordinated with my other providers to ensure continuity of care. I highly recommend Chinenye Chukwu to anyone looking for compassionate and competent psychiatric care.
