Getting to know Chinyere Nzekwe

Throughout my life, working as a healthcare practitioner has been my dream profession since it allows me to always be in service of others. As such, I have always prioritized advancing my career to enable me to work as a healthcare professional. This determination has seen me achieve many of my objectives in the profession based on my current work and professional engagements. Given the increasing cases of mental health challenges within the general population, there has been a growing need for qualified psychiatrists who can address these challenges. In this regard, I earned my associate's degree from Prince George's Community College, my bachelor's degree from Grand Canyon University, and my master's degree in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing (PMHNP) from Walden University as well as Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Chamberlain University.

What should a new client know about working with you?

As a nurse practitioner, I aim to use my psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner degree to not just care for my patients but to spread empathy and understanding among my patients. In my role as a mental health nurse practitioner, I advocate for patients who have difficulty being heard or respected and treat them with compassion, dignity, understanding, and pay attention to their holistic needs. Working with patients with mental health needs in this regions is my ultimate professional aim. As such, the desire to enhance my professional competence is motivated by improving patient care outcomes.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I tend to focus on giving patients the best services in my professional engagements. First, I try to understand their circumstances and offer tailored solutions fitting their personal needs. In essence, I am motivated by the desire to see my patients recovering from their illnesses and becoming productive in their life.
