Chioma’s journey in nursing began with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), where she gained valuable clinical experience and cultivated a strong foundation in patient care. Driven by a desire to specialize in mental health, she pursued advanced education, earning her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a focus on psychiatric mental health.
As a licensed Faith-Based PMHNP, Chioma has dedicated her career to addressing the mental health needs of individuals across the lifespan. Her approach to care is holistic and person-centered, emphasizing the importance of collaboration with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals. She believes in the power of faith to contribute to healing and recovery, and she integrates prayer, mindfulness, and spiritual counseling into her treatment plans with the utmost respect for each individual’s beliefs. Dr. Chioma is one of the most amazing people I’ve ever met. She goes out of her way to make sure that you are comfortable and that you’re aware that you have a safe space with her. She is attentive, kind, and very caring. This is the first time I’ve ever met a doctor that truly cared more about the patient than about the payment. She has proven to be a beacon of light in a dark time in my life. And I’ve only had one session with her. Dr. Chi, was heaven sent to me, a real earthly angel!!! I feel seen and heard each session as we grow a bond together. I am going through a dark season of my life with unexpectedly loosing my Mother, just 4 months ago. Dr. Chi is not only helping me mentally but spiritually in my journey. I opened up about my faith to her in our first meeting and it has been the best times, speaking together. This is my first time ever in need of a psychiatrist and I was given the VERY BEST with her!!!! TRULY grateful for Dr. Chi and her gift from God to pour into others????
