About Dr. Chris Edginton
Dr. Edginton has been in practice since graduating from The National University of Health Sciences in 2001. He has a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada, and a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from the National College of Chiropractic. He is certified in MDT, commonly known as the McKenzie Method. Additionally, he is accredited by the federal government as a Registered Medical Examiner for the Department of Transportation.
Since graduating from Chiropractic school, Dr. Chris has worked in a mix of hospital settings, in private practice alongside medical colleagues, and in Chiropractic clinics with Physical Therapy services. This variety has lent itself to a wide variety of patient experiences and conditions treated, from sports injuries to chronic aches and pains to spinal disc herniations.
Specific to the American Back Center, Dr. Chris has years experience with VaxD Spinal Decompression, which is a non-surgical treatment for herniated spinal discs in the neck and low back. His VaxD patients are often looking to avoid surgery. He has treated discs that cause mild but chronic pain to extruded discs that are often more acute and severely painful. Dr. Chris’ approach often uses a combination of VaxD and Physical Therapy for maximum results.
With his additional training in Acupuncture and Athletic Taping protocols, and his experience with a multi-disciplinary approach, Dr. Chris’ treatment is customized to the patient and presentation. While the Chiropractic adjustment remains the an integral part of a patient’s treatment, ancillary treatments over and above the adjustment get his patients better, quicker.

Chris is the man! In just 2 short visits, my neck pain issues have already recovered about 80%!!!
I've been to a few different Chiropractors before, all very good. Chris has a different approach and uses different adjustment techniques that I haven't seen before. I really like them. I especially love the way he adjusts my neck.
I'm looking forward to seeing how his approach to overall wellness that incorporates adjustments, physical therapy, massage, etc helps improve my overall quality of life. I'm someone that is very healthy already. I come to see Chris for optimization and to see how I can improve my quality of life to an even higher level. Highly recommended. Great personality as well!

My last visit with doctor Chris was very good. I love his personality and professionalism. He is a very good chiropractor who not only is very good with manipulations and body mechanics. He is very knowledgeable about exercises you can do between visits to maximize your results. He also has a great sense of humor and remembers personal things about that you let you know that he cares.

Doctor Chris is the best! I have chronic neck pain and he has helped me see great improvement. I appreciate that he answers any questions I have and never rushes me. He is very thorough about what options I have and allows me to make the choices I want. He also encourages treatment like physical therapy over medication which I love. The whole office is fantastic! Can't recommend enough!
