Marriage and Family Therapist
27130 Paseo Espada Ste 521, San Juan Capistrano, CA
Many of the struggles that bring us to therapy—anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, grief, low self-esteem, or feeling stuck—have deeper roots than we may realize. You may find yourself repeating the same patterns, feeling overwhelmed by emotions, struggling in relationships, or knowing something needs to change but not knowing where to begin. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I work with teens, adults, and couples experiencing anxiety, trauma, relationship and family challenges, grief, life transitions, self-doubt, and emotional stress. I offer a warm, compassionate, and collaborative space where you can feel understood while also doing meaningful work toward change. My approach is relational and depth-oriented, helping you look beyond symptoms to understand the experiences, relationships, and patterns that may be shaping how you feel today. Together, we can work toward healing past wounds, strengthening emotional awareness, improving relationships and communication, and developing greater confidence, resilience, and connection to yourself. I believe therapy should be both supportive and purposeful. My goal is not simply to help you feel better in the moment, but to help you better understand yourself so that change can become lasting and meaningful. Finding the right therapist matters. I offer a free consultation to learn more about what brings you to therapy, answer your questions, and determine whether we may be a good fit. If I'm not the right therapist for your needs, I'm happy to help connect you with trusted referrals and resources.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My style is warm, engaged, compassionate, and collaborative. I want therapy to feel like a place where you can be fully yourself while also feeling gently challenged to look beneath the surface. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach; I take time to understand you, your relationships, your history, and the experiences that have shaped how you move through the world. My work is relational, trauma-informed, and depth-oriented. We may explore recurring relationship patterns, attachment wounds, family dynamics, anxiety, self-doubt, protective parts, or experiences from the past that continue to influence the present. I also incorporate practical tools when they are helpful, so therapy isn't only about gaining insight—it's about creating meaningful change in your everyday life. Above all, I value authenticity and connection. You can expect me to be present, curious, and invested in helping you understand yourself more deeply, strengthen your relationships, and feel more grounded and confident in who you are.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first few sessions are about getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. We'll talk about your current concerns, important relationships and experiences, what has or hasn't worked before, and what you would like to be different in your life. Together, we'll develop goals that feel meaningful and specific to you. Sessions are conversational and collaborative rather than rigid or scripted. Depending on your needs, we may explore what's happening in your life now, identify recurring emotional or relationship patterns, connect present struggles with earlier experiences, or work with the thoughts, emotions, and protective responses that keep you feeling stuck. As therapy progresses, we continue to check in on what's changing and what still needs attention. My goal is to balance deeper exploration with practical support so you leave therapy with greater self-understanding as well as new ways of relating to yourself and the people who matter to you.
