She practiced as an acute care nurse at Inova Fairfax Hospital before obtaining her Master’s degree from George Washington University in 2012 as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She practiced in primary care in Northern Virginia for almost a decade, diagnosing and treating acute and chronic medical conditions, including mental health. Christi discovered a passion for helping patients manage their mental health, and completed a post-master’s certification at Johns Hopkins University where she became board certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). She founded Affinity Health & Wellness in 2022 in an effort to increase access to mental healthcare in our communities. She is working in collaboration with a licensed Psychiatrist in Virginia. Trained in both family medicine and mental health, Christi has the unique ability to understand the mental and physical landscape of the human condition.
