About Christina Williamson
I am Christina Williamson, NP, of Health is Wealth Med. Good health is so important. After 21 years as an RN and 6 years as a licensed certified NP, I am excited to open a medical practice that focuses on health promotion and disease prevention. I earned my Master's in Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nursing from South University in Richmond. My focus is on healthy weight, adequate nutrition, exercise, and stress reduction-vital components to stabilize chronic illness and maintain health and wellness. My 21 years as an RN included training in intensive care medicine (Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma) across six states. During the six years I've worked as an NP, I was employed as an Acute Care Hospitalist, serving the needs of those acutely ill and requiring hospitalization. I have admitted patients from the emergency room and managed patient care needs during inpatient stays, working at five different hospitals in Maryland. I am well versed in acute and chronic illnesses. I bring all my nursing and hospital provider experience to my own medical practice to serve the health needs of the community.
