Dr. Christine Reyes is a bilingual Spanish adult psychiatrist with 25 years of experience providing compassionate psychiatric care for anxiety, depressive and bipolar disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, and many other psychiatric conditions. She uses pharmacotherapy as well as supportive psychotherapy and strives to help patients achieve a healthy weight through nutritional advice. Dr. Reyes earned her Doctor of Medicine from Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine. She completed her internship and Adult Psychiatry residency at Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Center in New York City, followed by a Child Psychiatry fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Dr. Reyes has practiced in outpatient and community mental health settings.

Because we accept insurance, we can reduce out-of-pocket expenses and still offer high-quality care. You may not have any cost related to your visit with us, depending upon your insurance plan. Most patients pay a small copay per visit, subject to any deductible or coinsurance that your health plan has. The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services determines appropriate billing guidelines. These guidelines depend on the length of the visit and the complexity and severity of your diagnosis. For this reason, we need to wait until after the visit for the final determination. We then submit the claim to your insurance company. The charges are calculated based upon pre-negotiated prices with your insurance company. Your insurance company will then determine what amount, if any, is your responsibility per your insurance plan.

This was my first time being seen by a psychiatrist. In the past, I have been given medication by my primary doctor.
Dr. Reyes was kind, listened intently, and was clear about options for any treatment I would need. I was diagnosed, and we will meet next week to discuss the medication she is suggesting. She didn't rush to put me on anything she wanted me to be sure I was informed and made an educated decision if this would be the best for me. Así me puedo expresar mejor..! Pero se que en un futuro puedo lograr ser su paciente. Le agradezco por haberse tomado el tiempo de evaluarme, escucharme, aconsejarme, entre otras…! Switching providers is never easy, particularly finding one where I don't have to start from scratch on a 15 year diagnose. Dr. Reyes was fantastic in ensuring she understood the issue, symptoms and made sure I was taken care of from a medical perspective.

I have OCD/anxiety
Possiblly bipolar. Anyways, point is I’ve been waiting for this appointment for weeks only for her to tell me that she needs to talk to me aka have a “consult” for her to decide If she wants me as a patient?
At the end she literally said verbatim “psychiatry is not for you” BUT TELLS ME TO FIND A PSYCHIATRIST to treat me. Not a nurse Practitioner. Ok well that’s EXACTLY WHY I BOOKED AN APPOINTMENT WITH YOU.
