About Christopher Allison
Chris is enthusiastic about all that he does, whether on a professional or personal level, and is dedicated to the continued success of Optum as the go-to “one-stop shop” for active individuals seeking health and wellness services. Professionally, Chris continually pursues opportunities that improve his ability to better deliver care within the medical community, while his personal commitment to education supports his interest in the field of medicine and his desire to increase his knowledge base. He has exceptional perseverance and is adept at working under a multitude of conditions while always maintaining a positive attitude, traits that have served him well throughout his career. Chris has received training at New York Methodist Hospital, Weill Medical College of Cornell University, Lenox Hill Hospital and North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System. Throughout his clinical rotations, Chris continually received outstanding performance evaluations. Following completion of his degree, Chris worked at Maimonides Medical Center as an Orthopaedic Surgery PA. He then transferred to New York University's Institute of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and Bellevue Medical Center as a Plastic Surgery and Hand Surgery PA. After just one year, he was promoted to Chief Physician Assistant, a position he successfully held for two years until he transitioned full time to Optum. Chris enjoys an active lifestyle including strength training, yoga, biking and participating in a variety of sports.

As a former athlete (not professional) and fitness enthusiast I find Dr Alison and his Team the best partner for me moving forward. As I age and keep up my physical activity I want to keep injuries to a minimum and gather information to maintain my range of motion.
Dr Alison immediately identified issues that were not identified by other doctors and understood my path and goals.
