About Dr. Christopher Amen
Dr. Amen completed his residency at Stony Brook University to train in Sports and Rehabilitation medicine of the musculoskeletal system. He then went on to complete his fellowship training at George Washington University Hospital in DC to further specialize in interventional spine and pain medicine. Dr. Amen now specializes in treating a broad range of musculoskeletal pain complaints including back, neck, shoulders, knee, wrist and hand complaints. He also specializes in interventional procedures such as epidural steroids, joint injections and PrP.

Dr. Aman has done both my joint blockers and this time I had the ablation done. And not only was it painless with the shots that he had to give me in my back, I didn’t feel anything when he burned the nerves which is the procedure for the ablation. Even though he said I might feel uncomfortable. He said I might be sore the following day, but I have to tell you I was sore for about two hours after the procedure and the following day, I was not sore and no pain. This is the first time that I’ve had exceptional relief from my back pain. There is none now. He’s a phenomenal doctor his bedside manner his Talking to me like a human being and telling me what the procedure was about how it worked. And definitely the music played in the room where the procedure was done. He’s down to earth. He is a great doctor and I would recommend him to everybody.
