Christopher Cox is a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Mississippi. What is your typical process for working with clients?
When you first come in for an appointment, we'll start by taking the time to discuss your medical history, current symptoms, and any previous treatments you’ve tried. I’ll work with you to understand how your symptoms are affecting your daily life and overall well-being. Together, we’ll review the best course of action possible to address your concerns.
As a psychiatric specialist provider, my role is to carefully evaluate your needs and recommend solutions that can help stabilize your mood, reduce symptoms, and improve your quality of life. I take a collaborative approach to ensure that you're comfortable with the treatment plan we create together.
During follow-up appointments, we’ll monitor your progress, check for side effects, and make adjustments to the treatment plan as needed. I believe in regular communication and will always make time for any questions or concerns you may have along the way.
I aim to create a supportive and open environment where you can feel confident in the treatment decisions we make together.

After explaining my situation and what seems to work for me after trying several meds, including control meds, I feel like he heard what I said, yet I feel like he didn't really listen to the problem. I need to solve the problem ASAP yet the meds he recommended is suppose to work within one and a half month. He just didn't work for me.

Dr Christopher is absolutely amazing!
! I have also seen doctor dane but I had seen Dr Chris once before and I decided to continue visiting with Him because the experience was so wonderful.
He has been incredibly helpful and He is VERY very kind. Please do not hesitate getting the care that you need. My only regret was not trying this AMAZING app sooner!!! For comparison before using zocdoc (& finding Dr Christopher Cox), I had so many issues with scheduling and med refills which was nerve wracking. SO, THANK YOU FOR ALWAYS BEING THERE FOR PATIENTS & for TRULY hearing our voices.
There is a sense of mutual respect with Dr. Cox and that calms my anxiety alot. I feel like I am healing, finally. Most importantly, I feel SAFE knowing I am in good hands, & at peace knowing that access to my meds isn't a problem.
Ps for the one question The office just reached out to remind me of appt which is very helpful as I have 2 small kiddos and can be very forgetful. Thanks! Amazing team!!!!

I books this appointment with this provider through Zocdoc. My insurance is clearly uploaded and shown. I then chose my provider based on the information on the app
showing who accepts my insurance. After my appointment and I was prescribed my medication. I then arrived at my pharmacy to pick up the medication and I was sadly informed my provider is not enrolled with my instances and I will not be able to receive my medication. It was a complete inconvenience and showed a lack of care to ensure me and the patient wasn’t having a full consultation and it’s for no reason.

The set up for an appointment is a little stressful.. I’m at work and the one person will call my cell every 3 minutes for 30 minutes straight! This was to get my co pay— or they can’t send me the link for my appointment. I think you can do better with that exoerience.

I have been dealing with issues for along time. I have saw many different doctors. This man has been the straightest shooter with me I have yet to experience.
