About Dr. Christopher Logas
Dr. Logas is a board-certified dermatologist that attended the University of Florida for his BS degree in Biology and completed his medical degree at Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. He was a chief resident in his dermatology residency program located in South Florida at Larkin Community Hospital Palm Springs Campus. He specializes in general dermatology taking care of a variety of dermatologic conditions, with specific interest in psoriasis and atopic dermatitis, as well as surgical dermatology.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Logas was born and raised in Florida, but fully embraces his new home in Chicago. His other interests include college football, hockey, trying new restaurants, and exploring Chicago.
“Dermatology is such an incredible specialty, and I am very fortunate to be able to practice in this great field. It is my passion to be able to not only treat patients for their skin care needs, but also educate and build relationships with these patients over a long period of time, that you don’t often get in other specialized medical fields. I stress the importance of sun protection, regular skin cancer screenings, and including the patient’s own input in developing an effective treatment plan. It is my honor to be able to practice in this great city and it’s my hope to be a great representative for my specialty and Chicago.”

Like many other dermotologiest, this Christopher Logas is no exception, he tried his best to keep his patient coming again and again. During my visit for a pigment deposition problem, I heard he murmured with his nurse this could be tinear versicolor, but he prescribed for something else. Until I insisted my daughter may have tinear versicolor since I had ever had similar situation, he precribed 2 dozes of fluconazole. I knew I had 2 weeks of treatment and a very rich history of fighting with tinear. But this one doctor insisted to give only 2 days of dosage with topical cream that proved to be ineffective. Clearly, he wanted to 'wait and see'. An evil doctor once again -- no surprise. I DON'T RECOMMENT THIS DOCTOR UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU WANT FROM HIM.

I came in expecting a routine preventive skin check, but the experience was disappointing. As a 1st time derm patient, I assumed an annual exam would include checking for concerning spots or moles, or even talking about my skin care regimen. Instead, the doctor only looked at my skin tags and focused on the cost of removal. Before the appointment, the MA “suggested” being a nice term that a full-body exam wasn’t necessary since I didn’t have moles, which made me feel pressured to skip what I thought was standard preventive care.
The visit felt rushed; the doctor spent about five minutes with me, and the interaction felt transactional. Upon arrival I wasn’t told where to sit or put my coat. Not only that the MA sat in for the whole appointment essentially standing over my shoulder with the door open. I left feeling uncomfortable and utterly disappointed. I felt like I paid a copay for information I already knew. Honestly a waste.Hopefully this helps set expectations before booking.
