About Dr. Christopher Mattina
Dr. Christopher Mattina was raised in Mahwah, New Jersey, and has played a plethora of sports throughout his life. His passion for helping others began through guidance from his mother, an oncology nurse for 25 years, cultivating in him a commitment to always show empathy and honesty. His first interaction with chiropractic care occurred after suffering a back injury while wrestling at age 16. Experiencing the ability to heal conservatively without surgery or pharmaceuticals led him to continue competing in powerlifting. Through regular chiropractic care and excellent coaching, he was able to break a three-decade-old New Jersey state record by squatting 425 lb in the 130 lb weight class.
Dr. Chris ventured to Connecticut, where he lived during his undergraduate and doctorate training. He graduated from the University of Bridgeport with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science while working in the service and liquor industry, training, and competing regularly. After taking a short hiatus to help care for a sick family member, he applied to and graduated in December 2021 Summa Cum Laude with his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the University of Bridgeport. It was during this time he was able to fine-tune his spinal manipulative therapy skills, as well as other therapeutic interventions such as soft tissue mobilization and Fascial Manipulation. He has also completed continuing education in RockTape’s Functional Movement Technique (FMT) and is eager to learn and continue pursuing various certifications in the field.
His background and education allow him to apply individualized, up-to-date treatment strategies focused on a “wholistic” approach—focusing on nutrition, exercise, sleep quality, stress management, and other psychosocial characteristics. In his free time, Dr. Chris enjoys lifting weights, hiking with his cats, practicing Jiu-jitsu, partaking in yoga, spending time with friends, cooking (and eating), and playing video games.

Two words. Thank YOU! I came here after recieving the recommendation and I can not express how grateful I am. Dr. Mattina was friendly, extremely knowledge, kind and patient. He took his time understand my pain and has been consistent in my recovery. Since I have started treatment with Dr. Mattina, I have made so much progress which has led to an ample amount of relief in matter of sessions. Thank you again! I highly recommend this Chiropractor if you have not been here yet. It gets better, there is parking now too! Easiest Five stars I've given~

Been going to see Dr. Chris for my lower back pain over the last few weeks and my experience has been incredible! The office is really clean and I never wait more than a few minutes for my appointment. Dr. Chris is extremely friendly and knowledgeable and has been helping me with my chronic lower back issues. He spends a good 30 minutes with me doing different stretches and exercises which is great. Definitely a concierge style practice but without the high price tag as they are in network with my insurance. Highly highly recommend!
