Getting to know Christopher Parson

Dr. Chris Parson brings more than 15 years of experience in psychiatric nursing, with a background spanning both acute inpatient care and general outpatient settings. He provides comprehensive assessment and treatment for a wide range of mental and behavioral health conditions. Dr. Parson takes a holistic, individualized approach to care—working collaboratively with each client to promote wellness through both pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions. He earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of Utah in 2018, further strengthening his ability to deliver evidence-based, compassionate psychiatric care. Originally from Southern California, Dr. Parson moved to Utah in 2000 and has called it home ever since. His passion for medicine began in the U.S. Army, where he served as a combat medic. After returning from a deployment to Iraq, he discovered a deep commitment to mental health and has dedicated his career to supporting individuals on their journey toward healing. Dr. Parson currently resides in Utah County with his wife and five children. In his free time, he enjoys mountain biking, wake surfing, boating, hiking, movies, 3D printing, and—most of all—spending quality time with his family.
