Dr. Chris Tomassian is a Board-Certified Dermatologist born and raised in California. Dr. Tomassian completed his medical school at University of Missouri Kansas City and continued his dermatology training at Kansas University Medical Center. He is passionate about both cosmetic and medical dermatology and strives to provide results that are natural and youthful.
During his time as a resident Dr. Tomassian had a passion for aesthetic and medical dermatology and was named Cosmetic Chief of his residency program. In 2020, he was named The Best Dermatologist in Kansas City by the Kansas City Pitch.
Dr. Tomassian’s main goal when creating The Dermatology Collective was to create a space that is accessible, relaxing, and enjoyable to give his patient’s the best care. When creating The Dermatology Collective (TDC), Dr. Tomassian was determined to build an inviting, state of the art medical practice to serve his community. His goal is simple, treat patient like his own family which means working closely with you to create a personalized plan to better your skin.
When Dr. Tomassian is not practicing, he provides his expert dermatological perspective to tackle social media trends, misinformation, and guides his followers to finding effective and affordable skincare.

Was seen quickly but then was off the call even quicker, didn’t ask me any questions other than if my acne was worse near my period(typical) and then prescribed me medication i didn’t need and incorrectly diagnosed me. Would not recommend if you want to get your health under control

Great overall doctor. I was seeing another dermatologist before I moved out to California to treat my psoriasis and hyperhydrosis. My treatment wasn’t working the best for me, and he was able to come up with a clear treatment plan for both issues. Great bedside manor, friendly staff. Definitely would recommend him!

The office was very helpful on its own by checking to see if my insurance would cover the cost of the appointment without me asking (even though I already knew). It was really great for them to give me a call and also to be transparent about the costs and how the visit would go as it was my first virtual office visits using zocdoc instead of another virtual platform. The appointment itself was seamless with the staff/nurse/admin collecting information prior to the doctor entering and she was able to gather any necessary information about me and images necessary to help with the appointment. The doctor was pleasant to speak to and knowledgeable about my issue and gave different possible options for care/solutions and listened to my concerns and answered my questions to them. Dr. Tomassian also gave the option to have a check up after a certain amount of time if I felt necessary. Virtual appointment seemed like a great option after this experience.

I had the absolute best experience seeing Dr. T!
I had recently switched from Kaiser insurance and this was my first time ever seeing a dermatologist. I spent hours online, reading reviews and trying to find a doctor who would be knowledgeable, kind, and trustworthy.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They put me in a room right away and got me all set up. Dr T. came in and I instantly felt comfortable. He was funny (which definitely helped me relax). He was a great listener and explained things very well. I appreciate that he left room for me to make my own decisions.
I am so happy I found Dr. T and will be referring everyone I know to him!

Dr. Tomassian is an excellent Dermatologist. He is kind, knowledgable and it doesn't hurt that he's good looking! I am very picky and selective with my physicians but Dr. Tomassian was outstanding. I wish all of my doctors were like him.

My experience at The Dermatology Collective with Dr. Tomassian was great! I have been putting off going to a dermatologist, so I went in with a long list of issues I had with my skin and my scalp. Dr. Tomassian took his time with me gave me the appropriate advice and treatment regimen. His staff and office manager were also very friendly and made the experience better. I have already seen major improvements in my skin and scalp since my visited 3 weeks ago. I will recommend to anyone in the Los Angeles area — he is worth the drive if you’re not local!

Dr. T is one of the most genuine physicians I’ve ever met! He took the time to really listen to all of my acne concerns and we discussed multiple treatment options. I felt extremely comfortable in his office and you can tell he is extremely knowledgeable in his field. His staff is also so kind and sweet. I am so excited to have found a dermatologist that I can trust. Highly Recommend!!
