About Christopher Trahan

Christopher Trahan holds a Doctorate in Oriental Medicine from the International Institute of Chinese Medicine and is a Licensed Acupuncturist nationally board certified in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. He is a classically trained Homeopathic physician registered with the National Center for Homeopathy. His Holistic Integrative Medicine practice includes Asian and Western herbal medicine, homeopathy, nutrition, and therapeutic bodywork alongside his acupuncture practice in the Chelsea district of Manhattan. In addition to his on-site practice, where he maintains a pharmacy of over three hundred herbs and two hundred homeopathic medicines, Dr. Trahan provides online virtual consultations. He has over thirty-five years of clinical experience and trained in China, Sri Lanka, and the United States (California, New Mexico, and New York). Dr. Trahan has served on the faculty of the International Institute of Chinese Medicine (Santa Fe, NM) and the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (NYC). He served as lead acupuncturist in an asthma research study headed by Dr. Lewis Mehl-Madrona, in association with Beth Israel Hospital. Dr. Trahan has been interviewed on TV, radio, and in print, and continues to lecture.
