About Claudean Wright

As a child, I would accompany my mother to work at our local health center. I loved speaking with the elder patients and was intrigued by the care they received. A month before migrating to the United States, my mother passed away from a heart attack. I felt helpless, not knowing what to do. This experience sparked my interest in becoming a Registered Nurse and eventually a Nurse Practitioner. I earned my Bachelor's degree and Master's in Family Nursing from the City University of New York, Lehman College. My first career was as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, which fueled my love for testing and laboratory work. As an Allergy/Immunology Nurse Practitioner, I am able to combine my passion for testing with my role as a provider. I connect with my patients first with a heartwarming smile, then through meaningful conversation and a genuine concern for their health and well-being. Outside of the office, I enjoy going to church, swimming, watching movies, gardening, and catching up with my children's daily events. The advice I most often give my patients is, "Take care of yourself because caring starts with you!"
