About Dr. Claudy Gay

Dr. Claudy Gay was born in Queens, NY, raised in Wellington, Florida and Raleigh, NC. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree with Honors in Biological Sciences from Clemson University. Claudy continued his education and graduated with a Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. During his time at Temple, he volunteered at many community events providing podiatric care at the Penn Relays, Jeff Hope Clinic, Special Olympics and Sonny Hill Basketball. After earning his Doctorate, Dr. Gay completed his residency training in foot and ankle medicine and reconstructive surgery in the Greater Philadelphia area. Dr. Gay was named Chief Resident during his final two years. He specializes in both conservative and surgical management of foot and ankle fractures, limb salvage, sports medicine including tendon and ligament injuries. He takes pride in treating diabetic foot conditions, wound care management and correcting bunions and hammer toes. He believes in fully exhausting all conservative non-surgical treatment options prior to considering any surgical intervention. Dr. Gay is a professional member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, Pennsylvania Podiatric Medical Association and the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, golfing, traveling including hiking local trails and spending time with his family. Dr. Gay looks forward to serving new patients in the beautiful York community.
