Cole Eisenberg, APRN

Cole Eisenberg, APRN

Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
274 Madison Ave, Rm 1501, New York, NY
*After booking, you will receive a link via Canvas to set up your patient portal. Setting up your patient portal is required to complete your appointment.* The most memorable moments of my first job in mental healthcare came on discharge days. People arrived at the psychiatric hospital at such a low point in their lives. As their nurse, I had the pleasure of helping them get back on their feet and regain the control, independence, and hope they needed to leave. Seeing someone walk out with greater stability and a plan for what’s next always reinforces why I chose this field.

What should a new client know about working with you?

With me, you can expect a calm, down-to-earth presence and a partner who is always listening. I am most passionate about normalizing discussions surrounding mental health and helping to break down the stigma that comes with it. That includes respecting every individual's pace — nobody should feel pressured to share their struggles. My goal is to foster greater acceptance and understanding, so that when someone is ready, opening up feels safe and comfortable. I truly believe everyone has the potential to live a meaningful and fulfilling life. I hope that, together, we can unlock that potential in you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My experience covers a wide range of conditions, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, and bipolar disorder. Acute anxiety and panic are an area of natural strength, and grounding techniques and breathwork are among the tools I rely on. I’ve cared for people ranging from college students to adults in their 90s, from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, including members of the LGBTQ+ community. For every one of them, I strive to provide affirming, inclusive care. I always put the patient first. That starts with listening carefully and gathering all relevant information to capture the full picture. From there, we work collaboratively to develop a whole-body treatment plan that reflects your goals, values, and needs.
