About Colleen Burns
Colleen Burns, DNP, is a certified nurse practitioner specializing in ear, nose, and throat conditions as well as sleep disorders. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Ambrose University and later received her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Rush University Medical Center in 2016. Before pursuing her doctorate, Colleen worked as a registered nurse in a medical intensive care unit, caring for patients with complex medical conditions. She then spent eight years at Rush University as a nurse practitioner in pulmonary and sleep services, where she developed a deep understanding of the connection between sleep-disordered breathing and ear, nose, and throat health. Colleen is dedicated to creating individualized treatment plans that help patients breathe better, hear better, and sleep better, leading to life-changing results.
