What should a new client know about working with you?

I use an integrative approach, drawing from different evidence-based therapies and tailoring my work to each person’s needs, goals and pace. I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), depending on what is most helpful for each client. Areas I work with include complex trauma, anxiety, depression, perinatal mood disorders, grief and loss, parenting challenges, and questions around cultural identity and belonging. I also work with clients navigating life transitions such as relocation, starting over, changes within family relationships, or shifts in career and identity.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I believe therapy can serve as a blueprint to help you move forward with greater intention, clarity and hope. As poet Mary Oliver once wrote, “Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” I would be honored to explore that question alongside you in a way that feels meaningful and true to who you are.
