Cori Ward, NP

Cori Ward, NP

Nurse Practitioner (Psychiatry)
UT
I am dual-certified as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C). My background in family practice and psychiatry helps me understand how emotional health, physical health, relationships, and life experiences are connected. I have cared for people with anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma-related symptoms, and substance use. I understand that reaching out for mental health care can feel vulnerable. My goal is to create a warm, respectful space where you can speak openly and feel heard. I do not believe in one-size-fits-all treatment. We will work together to determine what feels realistic, meaningful, and helpful for your life. Medication can be an important tool, but it is not the only one. When appropriate, visits may include supportive therapy, coping skills, and exploration of sleep, stress, relationships, physical health, and routines. Our first visit is an opportunity for me to hear your story, understand your concerns, and learn what you hope will change. We will explore your symptoms, history, physical health, medications, previous treatments, sleep, stressors, strengths, and what has or has not helped. From there, we will create a plan together. Follow-ups focus on progress, response to treatment, and adjusting the plan as your needs, goals, and circumstances change.
