Getting to know Dr. Cornelia Elad

Welcome! I am pleased to share that I am accepting new clients at Connect Integrated Health Services. As a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with a Doctorate in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from Regis College, I am dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. With over 20 years of nursing experience in psychiatry, I have had the privilege of working with diverse populations throughout my career. I understand that life can be challenging, and mental health struggles can sometimes make it hard to see your true self-especially with conditions like anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, schizophrenia, and others impacting your daily life. I also know how frustrating it can be when basic daily tasks feel overwhelming and you're unable to live life to the fullest. If you're feeling anxious, depressed, stressed, overwhelmed, or simply not yourself, I want you to know there is hope. This is just a chapter in your story, not your whole book. I strongly believe that with the right connection, support, and treatment-through therapy, medication management, and life coaching-you can have a bright and hopeful future. Take the first step toward turning your life around.

What should a new client know about working with you?

As a Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner (DNP), I am committed to delivering comprehensive, evidence-based care that addresses my patients' physical, emotional, spiritual, and social needs. My approach revolves around active listening, respect, trust, empathy, education, and empowerment. Every individual deserves to be heard and respected, and I strive to equip my patients with the knowledge necessary for them to take charge of their health. I use a holistic approach to support individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorders, grief, and more. I've been passionate about psychiatry since I started my nursing career over 20 years ago, and I stay up-to-date with the latest research to ensure my clients receive the best care possible. Thank you for considering me as part of your team during this journey.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our approach consists of several key phases. The first phase involves an in-depth comprehensive health assessment, during which we gather information about the client’s personal experiences, emotional landscape, and specific needs. The second phase is the treatment/ healing phase, during which we implement a range of effective treatment modalities tailored to each client's unique situation. These modalities may include medication management, evidence-based therapies, counseling sessions, and holistic practices to support individuals' mental well-being. The final and third phase in our process is empowerment. During this phase, we provide clients with the necessary skills, resources, and tools to help them thrive independently after treatment. This may involve teaching coping strategies, building resilience, and fostering self-awareness, ensuring that clients feel confident and capable as they transition into their everyday lives.

Dr Elad is very cordial and concerned with my wellbeing. She is conservative in prescribing medication ensuring possible side effects are well considered. So far our sessions have not provided the forum I expected to help me resolve my concerns and anxiety. This could very well be my fault as I am seeking input from her that will enable me to do thoughtful self reflection. Instead of trying to provide an answer I would appreciate her recognition of my situation and help achieve self actualization.

Dr. Elad is WONDERFUL!! I always look forward to meeting with her. She helps me see things in a positive way, but also encourages me with ideas that make sense, and I may not have thought about. I just love how she hears me, but doesn't judge. I'm so glad I am her client.

I have already reccommended her to others I know. I got notification both on email and text to remind me of my appointment. She was available right away, and she is the best doctor I have ever seen. Not only is she kind, and patient, but she is also very concerned about her patients, and is able to connect so easily.

My Experience was very professional, everyone was helpful. My Doctor was a great listener, and I was treated like a family member. It feels great ??

Highly reccomend her. There was a small issue with my health insurance, but her office kept me fully aware, and made sure to let me know what they could do. I was surprised that Dr. Elad made sure to see me because my appointment had to get delayed for later in the day, not for anything she or her office had control over. I am going to start seeing her for therapy regularly. Would reccommend her to anyone. If you want someone who goes above and beyond, schedule an appointment with her.
