About Courtney Eckhout
Courtney Eckhout, PA-C, is a certified Physician Assistant specializing in dermatology, licensed in both New Jersey and New York.
Courtney received her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Michigan State University while also earning minor degrees in Health Promotion and Spanish. After graduating, she worked as a Medical Assistant in a Dermatology practice gaining medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatologic experience. She then went on to obtain her Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Michigan-Flint. Courtney completed both didactic and clinical education during her time in PA school while gaining a wide knowledge base in multiple medical specialties. Courtney also completed an Aesthetic Medicine and Plastic Surgery rotation where she gained additional experience and techniques with injectables and surgical practices. Outside of her professional work, Courtney enjoys leading a healthy lifestyle by participating in HIIT and strength training fitness classes as well as cooking well-balanced meals.
Courtney’s passion for dermatology stemmed from her own interest in skin care and her desire to restore other individual’s confidence in their own skin. She began her medical dermatology career by completing Schweiger Dermatology Group’s Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship program upon becoming a Nationally Certified Physician Assistant. This program is led by some of the top Board Certified Dermatologists and provides firsthand medical, surgical, and cosmetic training through both a rigorous academic curriculum and hands-on clinical experiences.
Courtney is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA). Courtney is a licensed Physician Assistant both in New Jersey and New York, where she practices as a dermatology PA for Schweiger
