What should a new client know about working with you?

You can expect a warm, attentive, and collaborative approach. I take time to understand what you are experiencing, how it affects your daily life, and what you hope to improve. Visits are conversational but focused, with clear explanations and shared decision-making throughout your care. My approach combines thoughtful medication management with supportive, solution-focused, and cognitive behavioral strategies when appropriate. Together, we will identify practical goals, build on your strengths, and develop a treatment plan that feels realistic and personalized. I value open communication and want you to feel heard, respected, and comfortable asking questions.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Your first visit is a comprehensive evaluation focused on understanding your current concerns, symptoms, history, previous treatment experiences, medications, health factors, and day-to-day functioning. We will discuss your goals, clarify diagnoses, and review treatment options together. When medication is appropriate, I will explain the expected benefits, possible side effects, and alternatives so you can make an informed decision. Follow-up visits focus on your progress, medication response, side effects, sleep, emotional wellness, and any changes in daily functioning. Supportive and solution-focused therapy may be incorporated to help you develop practical coping strategies and work toward meaningful goals. When more intensive or specialized psychotherapy would be beneficial, I will discuss recommendations and help coordinate the appropriate care.
