About Dr. Craig Maples

Craig Maples is an Osteopathic Physician who is board-certified in hands-on care known as Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine. He obtained his medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center – Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth, Texas, where he received honors in Osteopathic Principles and Practices and awards for his commitment to Osteopathic Medicine. After medical school, he completed residency training in Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine at Mountainview Regional Medical Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico, where he was Chief Resident. His training focused on hands-on Osteopathic Manipulation and ultrasound-guided procedures. Additionally, Dr. Maples has sought out continuing medical education in Biodynamics, Fascial Distortion Model (FDM), Osteopathy in the Cranial Field (“Cranial”), Viscerosomatic Release, Ligamentous Articular Strain, Arterial treatments, and Osteopathic treatment of mood and anxiety disorders. Dr. Maples received his bachelor’s degree in Humanities, with a minor in Biblical studies, from BIOLA University in California in 2008. He met his wife, Megan, while attending. After college, he entered a career in Emergency Medical Services and worked as an EMT in Southern California. They moved to Texas in 2010, where he became a lead Paramedic at MedStar Mobile Healthcare, covering Fort Worth, Texas. This experience led him to go to medical school. On a medical mission trip to Honduras during medical school, Dr. Maples was able to use the hands-on Osteopathic Manipulation he had learned in class to help several people in a unique and lasting way. Also during medical school, Dr. Maples was able to use what he had learned to resolve Megan’s back pain she had for years which was unsuccessfully treated in many other ways. Dr. Naples has been instrumental in helping me to regain my quality of life. He has amazing bedside manner and his team is delightful. Scheduling is usually seamless which helps a lot on days that I need his help on short notice. I highly recommend him for anyone needing his care.
