“Dr. Shapero and his entire staff are super professional and courteous. Specifically Dr. Shapero helped alleviate my plantar fasciitis & fitted me with probably the best orthotics I’ve ever had. I even ordered multiple pairs for my other shoes. Caring Podiatry’s new laser treatments are state of the art and well worth the investment. This practice and Dr. Shapero are at the forefront of foot healing. This is definitely one of he best run podiatry practices I’ve been to. I can’t thank Dr. Shapero and his team enough. ”

About Dr. Craig Shapero
Craig Shapero, DPM, is a perceptive and friendly podiatrist providing the highest standard of care at Caring Podiatry. He has been in practice for more than 25 years and he loves what he does and is happiest when he is helping others. He takes the time to listen to his patient’s concerns and is empathetic to their needs. He treats a complete range of podiatric conditions but has a particular interest and specializes in the biomechanics of your feet. Understanding that your feet are the foundation of your body and if not properly in alignment, it will affect the joints above including your ankles, knees, hips, and lower back. Dr. Shapero also has a passion for treating diabetic foot and preventing further problems. Dr. Shapero has a very high rate of success in preventing diabetic foot infections by being able to address the problem before it starts.
Dr. Shapero attended Syosset High School in Syosset, New York, and played lacrosse throughout high school. He first learned about podiatry at age 16, because at the end of lacrosse practice, he would have foot pain. He visited a Podiatrist and was diagnosed with chronic flat feet, plantar fasciitis, and Achilles tendonitis and was made custom orthotics. This device alleviated the pain, and he was able to get back on the field and play the sport he loved.
Dr. Shapero completed a three-year Foot and Ankle Surgical residency at Cooper Hospital/UMDNJ Medical Center in Camden, New Jersey. He was the chief resident of podiatric surgery from 1998 to 2000.
Helping his patients be their healthiest, most active selves has been Dr. Shapero's great privilege and pleasure over the past 25 years. Outside of work, Dr. Shapero enjoys gardening, working out, spending time outdoors, listening to live music, and being with his amazing girlfriend and daughter.

Dr. Shapero is a fabulous Podiatrist! He is knowledgeable, kind and caring. His bedside manner is fantastic. He takes the time to answer all of your questiions. He truly cares about his patients and wants the best for you! I highly recommend to anyone who is seeking a top notch podiatrist and wants to be taken care of with respect and true care.

I recently saw Dr Shapero for plantar fasciitis. After a thorough exam of my feet, he recommended that I purchase Powersteps. He also was going to see if my insurance would cover custom molded orthotics. I’ve been wearing them now for A few days, and already have no pain. I can’t wait for the custom molded pair. Dr Shapero is he best, I will definitely be referring him to friends and family

I had been suffering from severe heel pain for months. I went to three different doctors. No one was helping me until I met Dr. Shapero. He was able to diagnose my problem treat my problem. Currently I have no pain thanks to Dr. Shapero.

Dr Shapero is amazing and a true professional. He helped me with my foot pain that none of the other doctors have been able to. I’m a diabetic and foot care is so crucial. Caring podiatry is the sweetest group of professionals I ever had the pleasure of being treated by. No one even compares to them.

I usually don’t post or write reviews but when you have an experience of the utmost professionalism, warmth and positive results.. I just had to write about Dr Shapero. I was very apprehensive to be seen as I had an awful ingrown toenail with excruciating pain. Dr Shapero put me at ease right away with his kind bedside manner and explanation of what he will need to do. I trusted him and the results really paid ff. I am pain free and I would highly recommend Dr Shapero for any podiatric needs. Thank you!!

My husband and I both saw Dr Shapero for different reasons. After one visit, we both left Dr Shapero's office walking on clouds. Dr Shapero is a very caring physician, always ready and wiling with the way to solve any podiatry issues.
