About Cristina Veltri Illien
Cristina is a Registered Dietitian passionate about educating patients to empower them to live their healthiest lives. She delivers a science-based approach that guides her patients to be less reliant on medications and to manage chronic conditions through proper nourishment. She also believes in a whole-body approach to health, achieved not only through good nutrition but also through certain self-care practices.
Cristina specializes in Diabetes (Pre-diabetes, Type 1, Type 2, Gestational Diabetes), Women's Health (Premenstrual syndrome, PCOS, Endometriosis, Fertility), Gut Health, Gastrointestinal Disorders (IBS, SIBO, bloating, constipation, GERD), Eating Disorders/Disordered Eating, and Heart Health (Cholesterol, Blood Pressure management).
She holds a Master's in Clinical Nutrition from New York University and is trained by Monash University in the use of a low FODMAP diet for IBS.
Cristina currently offers virtual and in-person sessions through NY Nutrition Group, an insurance-based private practice. She looks forward to building meaningful rapport with her patients and directly impacting their lives and overall health.
**MEDICARE PATIENTS:** Sessions are only covered if you have a diabetes or chronic kidney disease diagnosis from your doctor, limited to 3 hours the first year.

Ms. Veltri was a great listener and provided very helpful nutritional information. She was able to guide me based on the foods I already eat. I was informed of carb replacements that would complement my desired dishes. At no time did feel rushed during the entire session. I chose her because I have just been diagnosed with type two diabetes. I wish I would’ve found her while I was pre diabetes. Looking forward to future sessions.
