What should a new client know about working with you?

Working with me means you'll never feel rushed or reduced to a checklist. I take a collaborative, whole-person approach — meaning I look at how your mental and physical health interact, not just your symptoms in isolation. Whether you're coming in for medication management, primary care, or both, I'll take time to understand your full picture before we decide on next steps together. I believe in honest, two-way conversations. You'll always know your options, the reasoning behind any recommendations, and what to expect along the way. I also bring a trauma-informed lens to every visit, and I'm comfortable navigating complex cases that sit at the intersection of mental and physical health. If you speak Spanish, we can conduct your visit entirely in Spanish — no interpreter needed. My goal isn't just to treat — it's to partner with you toward lasting well-being.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Your first visit is all about getting to know you. We'll spend time reviewing your health history, current concerns, and goals — whether those are physical, emotional, or both. I won't rush to a diagnosis or prescription; I want to make sure any plan we build is grounded in a full understanding of what's going on for you. From there, follow-up visits are focused and efficient. We'll check in on how you're responding to any treatments, adjust as needed, and continue building on your care plan. I use evidence-based approaches and stay current on best practices in both primary care and psychiatric medicine. For mental health visits, I integrate brief supportive counseling into our sessions alongside medication management when appropriate — so you're not just leaving with a prescription, but with tools and clarity too. Every telehealth visit is a judgment-free space. My job is to listen first, then guide.
